I like to describe DeviantArt as “MySpace for artists” …and not in a good way. It comes with all of the popularity contests and drama that most social networking sites have. However, something that most people don’t know about the site is that it has a relatively large collection of resources and custom interfaces that users upload themselves and post for free. With a little bit of searching, you can find a ton of stock photos, tutorials on how to use various programs, application resources (Photoshop brushes & actions, etc), and even some well designed fonts. Although none of it is intended for commercial use, I always like adding to my basket of fun tools that help me get inspired.
